Hello, I am Natasha a Registered Psychologist and the founder of Graciously You Psychological Services which was established in April 2020. I created Graciously You with the intention to build a service that provides you an opportunity to have a sense of agency over your psychological care regardless of your location. I hopes this virtual space allows you to connect with a service and practitioner you believe is the right fit for you and provides you with the flexibility to fit appointments around your lifestyles.
In my practice I primarily work with women and teenage girls who want to improve their relationship with themselves so they can start creating and living the life the way they want. I will do this for you by supporting you with a whole-body approach, as no system works alone. We explore your lifestyle, present, past (including trauma) and where you want to be. My approach is practical and I give you tools to experiment with between sessions.
If you were to ask how I am in the therapy (virtual) room, I would say I am inquisitive, supportive, warm and empathetic, which I accompany with humor at times. I believe your story is important and we work at your pace, with you only sharing what your comfortable with.
To support you and my other clients, I draw upon my experience working with a diverse range of people across a variety of settings including, private practice, employment, paediatric and educational. My experience allows me to support you across a range of areas drawing upon a process of creative collaboration based on the range of therapy techniques I am trained in range of therapies, which I pair with techniques from them such as mindfulness, self-compassion, transformational chairwork and body-based skills from sensorimotor psychotherapy, as well as my knowledge of the brain and neuroplasticity, and the role of diet and exercise in mental health.
I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Comprehensive Behavioural Intervention for Tics (CBiT). Increasing access to these therapies was part of the reason I started a telehealth practice as these are two therapeutic techniques that people often may not have access to in their town or cities or if they do may need to wait long periods of time to access the support. Through my work with people
Through my work with clients over the years, I have seen the growth which can come from exploring and processing emotions rather than avoiding them, trying to out run them or keeping too busy to feel them. If you feel I may be a psychologist that can support you, I look forward to grow through what you are experiencing now so you can achieve the vision you have for yourself at this time in your life.
If you are curious to know a bit more about me,, when I am not working, you will find me with my young family, exploring, traveling, bike riding, cooking, doing yoga, going to the beach, reading and watching a good TV show or movie. But to be honest, I’m working on making more time for these things as I have been caught up being a new parent and building my business.
